All You Need to Know about Queen Ure’s King and their Royal Wedding

By FRANCIS OGBONNA

Singer and philanthropist, Ure Adaku Okezie, popularly known as Queen Ure tied the nuptial knot last Sunday with her King, Mr. Silas Briyork Newman in her home town, Umuahia, in Abia State.

As at the time the union was being solemnized, very little was known about the ‘porpori’ crooner’s groom, who was rumoured to have met Ure, who was married to then music rave, Emmanuel Okosie, a.k.a Soul E in Jos, Plateau State.

My Backyard Story brings you exclusive details about her King and their royal wedding:

·       The groom, Pastor Silas Briyork Newman is an indigene of Kaduna State, Nigeria;

·       He is the Pastor of Oasis of Love, Church, Lagos with headquarters in Jos, Plateau State;

·       Until his transfer to Lagos, he headed the Abuja branch of the outreach, which was founded by Late Pastor Philip Makungah, the younger brother of famous gospel artistes, Panam Percy Paul;

·       Pastor Newman, is a widower, and has four (4) beautiful kids with his late wife, which makes the CEO of Dream & Become (D&B) an instant mum;

·       The couple knew each other way back in Jos, where they both served under the leadership of Pastor Makungah, however, they both did not see each other until a few years ago in Lagos, after a mutual friend facilitated their reconnection;

·       The wedding was sponsored majorly by an African couple, who had been a part of the congregation of Oasis of Love Church, Abuja, where Pastor Newman served, before their relocation to France;

·       The African couple also gifted the newlyweds, a brand new car and an apartment to go with it.

We wish the couple a blessed union.
