Amazing! 18-year old Invents Anti-rape Sandals

An eighteen-year old Indian, Siddharth Mandala, tormented by the possibility that someone close to him may fall victim to rape has invented a sandal to help stop the scourge.

Mandala’s sandals, if worn by a victim have the capacity to electrocute likely attackers, as well as send signals which alerts the police and her family members that the wearer is in trouble.

It also gives the wearer, ample time, though in seconds to escape, since it renders them temporarily paralysed.

The young man, who hails from Hyderabad in India, came up with the ‘Electroshoe’ after attending a rally meant at protesting against the infamous 2012 gang rape and murder of 23-year-old student Jyoti Singh in Delhi – who has become known as 'Nirbhaya', meaning 'courage'.
