People are not always who they seem to be. While sometimes they surprise us, other times they outright shock us. One individual, who has an astonishing alter ego, though a very pleasant one is Veteran Yoruba Actor, Alhaji Akinade Adenrele popularly known as Prince Ade Adenrele.

The thespian who spoke to My Backyard Story a while ago, revealed that he is not just a lover of sports, but is still an avid athlete.

In the said chat, Alhaji Adenrele said: “I played football for a while and afterwards moved on to refereeing. I am not just your regular referee, but a FIFA Graded one. I was even given the award as best CAF referee for the year 1987, at the CAF headquatres. I was the one who officiated the 3SC vs Stationary Stores F.C’s intercontinental match then. I have my I.D. Card to show for that.”

To keep up with the rigours and demand of refereeing, the actor who plays more of Aristo’s roles in flicks said: “After Prayer, every morning, I jog about 4km and back every morning.”
