South Africa’s ‘Xhosa Rhythm’ queen, Thandiswa Mazwai has said she is dying to have a collabo with Nigeria’s Juju music Legend, King Sunny Ade (KSA).
The Soweto raised singer, whose music is often deeply political, added that though she has great respect younger Nigerian artisies, her first love is traditional African music.

“That is why I would readily jump at an opportunity to have a collabo with or at least feature the Likes of KSA in any of my songs. I love how he (KSA) blends percussion instruments with those of the west. It gives you a great feeling. I love traditional African music,” the lead vocalist and songwriter of ‘Bongo Maffin’, told My Backyard Story.

Mazwai, at the last Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA) held in Lagos, Nigeria took home the prestigious ‘Best Female Act’ award for the South African region.
