Kane far from best despite ending Messi’s monopoly-Pochettino

Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino has said that Harry Kane has yet to reach his best, despite his recent achievement that saw him break Lionel Messi and Alan Shearer’s records of goals scored by players in a calendar year.
Kane netted his seventh hat-trick of 2017 during the past weekend as he scored for his side during their 3-0 win over Burnley and he then grabbed his eight in the 5-2 drubbing of Southampton.
In the process he also bettered Alan Shearer’s record tally of 36 goals in a calendar year.
Also, with last goal yesterday being his 55th of the year in all – he broke the European record of 54 that had been held by Barcelona’s Lionel Messi for a while.
Pochettino revealed that he is happy to see Kane delivering quality performances and explained that he will only get better.
