SA: Over 15 Nigerians to appear in court today over 'revenge attack'

No fewer than seventeen Nigerians, resident in South Africa have been arrested by the authorities of their host country for public violence and possession of dangerous weapons.
The Nigerian nationals were arrested in Rustenburg Noord on Sunday night in Rustenburg North for allegedly attacking locals in what was suspected to be a revenge attack.
They will be arraigned in the Rustenburg Magistrate's Court on Tuesday (today).
The violence was thought to have been sparked by the death of a Nigerian man believed to be a drug lord, his body was found in a stream in Rustenburg on Friday.
Before the murder, the alleged drug lord and another man were allegedly bundled into a minibus taxi. The other man was left off unharmed.
Two men including Israel Maimane, the deputy chairman of the Tlhabane Community Policing Forum, accused of the murder were released at the Rustenburg Magistrate's Court on Monday. The matter was not enrolled as the prosecution wanted the police to probe the matter further.
