The Only Inheritance my father left me was a wristwatch-Bishop T. D. Jakes

America’s Mega Church Pastor, Bishop Thomas Dexter Jakes, popularly known as T.D. Jakes has said that all his father left him as an inheritance was a wristwatch.
The clergy man dubbed, “the Next Billy Graham”, was however quick to note that it was not his old man’s original plan, as he had been struck by a sickness that not only ate up all his savings, but ended up killing him.
Jakes who disclosed this while presenting his new book on entrepreneurial development-‘SOAR’, nevertheless insisted that his dad left him something worth much more than wealth and that’s  the passion to succeed in life.
His dad, in the 70s had started from the scratch a janitorial service, that ended up having 52 staff, before things went ‘South’ due to his health.
It is this drive to succeed that has seen him start several businesses, alongside ministry, which today earns him the reputation ‘one of the richest pastors in the world’.
The writer, playwright and movie producer, with a net worth of $147 million now lives in a $1,700,000 mansion, have a private jet and drives some of the best rides in the world.
Called America's best preacher, Bishop Jakes has been featured on the cover of TIME magazine. He is the bishop/chief pastor of The Potter's House, a non-denominational American mega church, with 30,000 members, located in Dallas, Texas.
