65-year-old tied to a tree and stoned to death over $2 debt

A 35-Year-Old Zim man reportedly tied to a tree and stoned to death an elderly man over his inability to pay a debt he owed, according to NewsDay newspaper.
65-year-old Samson Mutsunguma before the fateful incident which happened June 15th last year was said to owe the suspect, Teurai Tsarwe, $2.
Tsarwe was arraigned on Wednesday before High Court judge Justice Joseph Musakwa on murder charges.
The state Prosecutor Jonathan Chingwinyiso told the court the accused was seen assaulting the now-deceased by a neighbour, Nyasha Machemedze who raised an alarm, causing the suspect to flee.
The matter was reported to the police, leading to the accused’s arrest.

A postmortem established that the death was as a result of head injuries.
