JAMB boss, who lied he lost N23m worth of cards in fire accident exposed

Recent investigations by a committee of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB has revealed that the same scratch cards a ranking officer of the organisation had reported got lost in a fire incident was used by students within his jurisdiction to register for the annual exams.
Mr. Labaran Tank, the Nasarawa state coordinator for the examination body had claimed his car had burnt and that he lost everything in it including the scratch cards worth N23 million.
His words: “I had an accident on July 3, 2016. I was not the one that packed the cards, because I was rushed to the hospital. They came to pack the burnt scratch cards to the office, but it could not be counted. I have the serial numbers of the cards.”

You would recall, that the Board has been enmeshed in controversy lately after a bizarre report from its Benue office claimed that a snake ‘swallowed’ about N36 million from JAMB’s vault in the State.
