Lesotho is Africa’s first Country to Legalise Cannabis Cultivation

Landlocked Lesotho has become the first African country to legitimize the planting of cannabis, but there is a caveat, only two companies of American origin are allowed for now to cultivate it.
A few months ago, the country’s Health and Social Welfare ministry granted a Prohibited Drug Operator license to the Pharmaceutical Development Company (PDC) Ltd to legally cultivate, supply, hold, import, and export cannabis.

This made the coy based in the capital, Maseru the first company in the country, and the entire of the African continent, to be permitted to legally produce the drug.
