NURTW January Murder! Police Arrest former Union Boss, Rafiu Olohunwa

The Nigeria Police have arrested former NURTW Chairman, Rafiu Olohunwa Akanni, in connection with the murder of one of the Union’s big boys, Ganiyu Aliyu aka, Hamburger.
The security operatives made the breakthrough after they picked up one of the assassins, Adeola William, who fingered the former Union boss as the mastermind behind the killing of the former personal assistant to the head of Transport Workers in Idumota, Kunle Poly on January 23, 2018.
Williams, during interrogation revealed that, ‘Poly’ was actually the target and not ‘Hamburger’, but he was lucky to have escaped the attack.

He said that Akanni had contracted him to kill ‘Poly’, and gave him N500,000 as advance payment, but refused to pay him the balanace, because he had missed the target. However, displeased with Akanni’s response by he decided to seize one of his SUVs.

His words: “I assassinated the popular Hamburger, an NURTW chairman in Oshodi. I also killed one Baba Jide Dosumu, aka Mados in Ebute Meta, Lagos. One Salawe in Ajah, Ganiyu Asaro and four others in Badore area of Lagos after I sprayed bullets into their car, killing all the five occupants.”
