Terrorist gets 4 Life Sentences for killing 3 members of a family

A Palestinian man who killed three members of a family in Israeli occupied West Bank last July has been handed four different life sentences by a military Court on Thursday, Haaretz reports.
Omar al-Abed, who was 19 at the time of the murders, had been found guilty by the court at Ofer, near Ramallah of two count murder of Yossi Salomon, his son Elad and daughter Haya with a knife in their home on July 21, 2017.
Abed carried out the attack at the home of the victims, who were all civilians.
Yossi’s widow, Tova, who survived the attack, was left with serious injuries. Her cries was part of the commotion that attracted a neighbour, an off-duty soldier who shot Abed in order to stop him from finishing her.
Abed had also earlier carried out such attack, killing seven people, all family members in the house at the time of the attack.
His father, mother, an uncle and two brothers were in August, 2017 sentenced to various jail terms ranging from one to eight months for not preventing Abed’s actions.

On August 16, the Israeli military demolished the Abed family home in the village of Kobar near Ramallah.
