Nigerian man arrested for drug peddling in India

The Police in India have arrested a Nigerian, identified as Joe Nnama Enzema who was found trying to deliver Rs 1.5 lakh (about $2,313) worth of banned substances believed to be ganja.
The Calangute Police Station chief, Inspector Jiva Dalvi speaking to pressmen, said he set up a team after his men got a tip off that the 31-year-old African will be delivering a consignment of illicit drugs at Porbowado, Calangute, Bardez-Goa.
Members of this team operating in private vehicles raided the said location where they found the suspect on a scooter just before he made the delivery.
Webindia reports that a chase ensued after he attempted to flee from the scene. However, it wasn’t long before he was caught up with and overpowered.
During interrogation, Enzema admitted being in possession of drugs. Upon further search at his resident, Ganja worth Rs 30,000 and Charas worth Rs 1,20,000 was found.
Enzema, will be arraigned in court on Monday.
