Tragic! Pupil dies after reportedly taking 10 tablets of Tramadol

A pupil was said to have died hours after he allegedly took 10 tablets of Tramadol to enhance his performance during his school inter-house sports competition.
The incident which happened in Ohafia, a popular town in Arochukwu local government in Abia state, was disclosed by commandant of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Akindele Akingbade, while he was delivering a lecture at the office of the senior special assistant to Governor Okezie Ikpeazu.
The Nation reports that the seminar was organised on behalf of patent medicine dealers operating in the state.
The NDLEA official in his speech advised the dealers to desist from selling drugs without prescription by doctors.
He attributed the high rate of crimes, including robbery, rape, kidnapping and others to the effect of drugs.
