Man Slashes Creditor’s throat over $77 Loan

A defiant debtor on Tuesday slashed the throat of his 30-year-old friend with a ‘Parang’-a stout straight-edged knife, over a RM300 ($76.76) loan he wouldn’t pay.
The victim, 30-year-old Fazrin Ibrahim, who resides in Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia died instantly from excessive bleeding.
According to a report Fazrin's 11-year-old brother-in-law, who was with him, was also injured in the assault that happened in Jalan Tengah Nipah.
It is believed that the suspect attacked Fazrin from behind while sitting in the back seat of the Perodua Axia, which was being driven by the victim, reported Utusan Online.

Lahad Datu OCPD ACP Hamza Ahmad was quoted by The Star Online as saying that the suspect is believed to have killed Fazrin after he bugged him to return an RM300 loan.
According to ACP Hamza, Fazrin was taking his brother-in-law home from school and had stopped to pick up the suspect along the way, reported The Star Online.
Both the suspect and the brother-in-law were seated at the back of the car.
