Lupita Nyong'o To Play the Assassin In The Remake Of 1989's 'The Killer'

Chinese-born Hong Kong film director, writer, and producer, John Woo in collaboration with Universal Pictures is remaking his classic 1989 action crime thriller ‘The Killer’.
According to Deadline, Africa’s Lupita Nyong’o is currently in negotiations with the producers and if everything goes as planned, she would be playing the role of the assassin in the flick.
That role was originally played by Chow Yun-fat. The studio has put the project on the fast track and Woo is set to direct it. 
The story follows an assassin who puts her own life on the line to save a woman whom she accidentally blinded in her last hit. Eran Creevy (Collide) wrote a script that is based on an original draft by Cloverfield Lane‘s Josh Campbell and Matt Stuecken, and Brian Helgeland
