Suspect Arrested with human body parts in bucket

Police have arrested a 34-year-old South African man after he was caught with a human skull and other body parts in a bucket in Margate, KwaZulu-Natal.
Police spokesperson Colonel Thembeka Mbele said that police nabbed the suspect after receiving a tip-off about a man selling human body parts.
A human skull, a hand and a torso, along with other body parts were discovered in the suspect’s vehicle.
“During the search, they discovered a bucket with a human skull, hand, torso and other body parts that were cut into small pieces,” Mbele said.
The suspect admitted to police that he used the body parts to heal people, saying that he was a traditional healer.
Other traditional healers in the area said that the suspect was trying to sell the body parts for R4 000.
The suspect is expected to appear in the Margate Magistrate’s Court soon and will be facing charges of illegal possession of suspected human body parts.
